Above are some sentences that point out how a few misunderstandings could occur in the language.

 Nomue: To tranquilize; to do to cause tranquility.

Hafit'sun: balance, two sides of any quality or degree balancing out.

Kabe: to murder, to kill intentionally.

Ksi'ba: with; as doing with; seeking out a punishment or consequence because of.

Shami: brother.

Suwine: to lift an object.

La: possessive of the second person.
( Lah )

Ayajo: head.
( Ah-Yah-Jo )


Ve: presently active tense; as the speaker says or does it.
( Vay )

Evo: command placed before a verb or sentence.
( Ay-Voh )


Also, make sure when pronouncing the vowels, that you clip the 'y' sound.

Evo su suwine ve ayajo la.
Lift your head up right as I say these words.

I have underlined the part in English where the translation is interpreted. When using ve, it can be interpreted as the speaker being stern, melancholy, neutral-sounding, or respectful. Here, the sentence uses su, which is an emotion modifier. It denotes stress, sternness when used with a command, anger in moments of tension, or hatred in moments of violence or argument. Ve can mean 'right now,' 'as I say it,' 'as I say these words,' 'as I do this,' or even, 'right this instant.'

Parsimonious: stingy.

Paradigm: a model or an example.

Figurative language is beautiful and makes a story what it is. Here are a few sentence examples which are broken down and dissected to show the sentence structure even further. I'll dissect each word eventually for another guide, but for now, this is a sample.

The syntax has been fixed, so I took this from April 7, 2010 and fixed the few errors. I figured colors would help explain the syntax and sentence structure of Aniku. Along with my new conlang.wikia page, I think people will understand better. Enjoy perusing!

I've broken the sentences down for you by color-coding them. The highlighted words are implied. Whatever color the word is highlighted, that is what word is associated with its presence.

The sentence structure and syntax go as such:

[ Subject Verb Object ] --- Or, SVO.

Han okye a'kte mi.

I eat apples.

To figure out where propositions, adverbs, or anything else goes, let's determine what they're doing. Questioning the sentence helps you a lot. Let's take the sentence, "I eat apples" and then add in also.

Han okye aka a'kte mi.

I eat apples also.

Why does aka go after okye? The proposition aka is actually modifying the verb okye. It is telling the person who is listening how the verb was done! You can remember this rule by asking yourself some questions to figure it out.

"What am I doing with the apples?"

I'm eating them.

"How am I eating the apples?"

I'm eating them also.

So the preposition aka goes after the verb okye.

Han okye ba aka a'kte mi ki hazinate.

I also ate apples yesterday.
